Guinness World Record Attempt -

World's Largest Tin Whistle Band

Back at Jamberoo in 2000 there was an attempt for the Largest Tin Whistle Band in the World On that occasion there were 99! The paperwork was daunting and the record was not offically recognised.



We're going to try again at the next festival. Johnny Spillane will once again assist in getting everyone playing the two tunes required for the record performance - Click Go The Shears and Molly Malone.

The performance will be during the Festival Finale on the Sunday evening.

There will be various workshops and rehearsals and the hope is for over 100 tin whistlers.

It will cost $15 per person to register and you need to attend the festival on Sunday (Day Passes are $55, Early Bird Season Passes are $75 till 4 dece,ber) and participate.



All proceeds will go to a charity to be nominated. You'll get a whistle if you need it, the music and of course a heap of fun.

Whistle Practices at Wongawilli Hall

To help get into the swing of playing a tin whistle, Johnny Spillane will hold classes at the Wongawilli Community Hall before the Wednesday Bush Dance on the following dates:
