Scholarships For The 2018 Folk School Now Open!

The Illawarra Folk Club is extremely proud and excited to announce 20 Youth scholarships (18 years and under) for the Illawarra Folk Festival Folk School.

The scholarship covers the cost of attending 2 days of the school on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 January 2017.  Click here to find out more about the Folk School.

Scholarship winners will be announced in December.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assesed on:

  • An ability and/or aspiration to play folk music
  • A desire to further their folk music education, including any future performing or learning goals

You must be 18 years of age or under to apply for this scholarship.
If you are under 18, you must provide permission from a parent/caregiver to attend the folk school if you are successful in securing a scholarship. Please provide the name of a parent/caregiver.
Provide details of previous folk workshops or master classes attended, if any.
Please provide details of folk groups/clubs and or bands associated with, if any.
Please describe your musical interests and influences.
Please provide details of previous folk festivals or events you have attended, if any.
