Welcome to the 2010 Illawarra Folk Festival, one of the region’s premier music events.

I am pleased to welcome you to the 2010 Illawarra Folk Festival, one of the region’s premier music events.
I would like to congratulate the Illawarra Folk Club on the 25th Anniversary of the Illawarra Folk Festival in 2010. The success of the Festival year after year is testament to the importance of regional events to our State.

Regional events provide a much needed tourism boost to regional economies throughout New South Wales and are vital in bringing communities together. The Illawarra Folk Festival is consistently successful in attracting both international and interstate visitors to the region’s local businesses, restaurants and attractions.

This year, the Festival will feature over 150 international, national and local acts showcasing the best of folk, world,
acoustic, Celtic, traditional folk concerts, dances, workshops and parades over four days at the Bulli Showground.
Located in the heart of the Illawarra, Bulli is the perfect base to begin exploring the region’s small coastal villages, stunning surfi ng beaches, and lush national parks. I encourage all visitors to the Illawarra Folk Festival to extend your stay and discover the beautiful Illawarra and South Coast region.
