Illawarra Folk Festival 2012 - Where to Stay

Each year the festival arranges a camping area on the Festival site with limited facilities.

There are male and female showers and toilets. Hot water systems for showers have been installed for both the grandstand area and near the ticketing office. Camping fees are -

Season Pass CAMPING (flat rate for 1 to 4 nights)

Camping Site $15
Camping per adult person (only with Adult Season Pass) $15
Youth camping (with paying parent) $10

There is no reservation of sites to the general public. Campers are allowed to start arriving from the Wednesday before the Festival and must leave by Monday lunchtime.

Festival Camping - LIMITED SITES

There is a limit of 400 camp sites at the Bulli Showground site so please book and pay for your camping site with your ticket purchase as early as possible. The website will indicate how many different camping sites are left. Campervans, motorhomes and caravans are most welcome, however there are no powered or water sites available. There are designated sites for these campers.

Due to the limited camping available, you will be allocated an area to camp depending on your size. On arrival you will directed to your allocated area. The size of your camping site will vary according to the type of the accommodation you have (tent, camper, caravan, motorhome etc). Unfortunately you will not be able to reserve a site for your friends. If you want to camp together, you will need to have been allocated to the same area and arrive at the same time. There is an exception for organised touring groups. One car is allowed to park within the allocated space for most sites. Additional cars must park in the festival car park.

Some Campsite Rules

  • Please do not light any campfires

  • Please recycle waste where possible

  • Entry to campsite is for Festival ticketed campers only.

  • Please do not leave any valuables in cars, tents or eskies!

  • Sorry no pets allowed. You will be asked to leave if you bring a pet.

  • Please be courteous of your neighbours at night and keep noise to a minimum. All sessions should be down at the Grandstand Bar

  • Please make sure that all your camping equipment stays within your allocated space.
